Sightseeing Tours
Treat yourself and your family to a special day on the water. Feel the sea breezes, hear the shore birds, and soak in the sights aboard our comfy 48 passenger boat, Volsunga IV. Captain Bob Milne and the crew at Thimble Islands Cruise welcome you aboard for a 45 minute narrated tour while he maneuvers you through the enchanted Thimble Islands.

We board the boat at quarter of the hour and depart on the top of the hour promptly.
It is a 45 minute live narrated tour. You will hear about the natural history of the Islands, the shell fish industries that thrived in town, and the building boom that occurred during the Victorian Era. We recount old stories and local legends and you will see picturesque scenery.
Give yourself 10 to 15 minutes to find parking on the main roads around the dock vicinity. There is also parking available at the church, across from the beach, for a small donation. The dock is located at 4 Indian Point Rd, Stony Creek, CT 06405. Please use the public restrooms in town before boarding the boat. Bathrooms are available in the grass park adjacent to the beach.
We ask that people refrain from loud conversations and cell phone conversations while onboard as it is distracting for the people who want to hear the tour. A plea to parents with children, kids are expected to be behaved on the boat and the tour is not recommended for children under three- although everybody is welcome.

We do not operate tours on rainy days or during high winds. The captain reserves the right to cancel tours in the event of unsettled weather conditions. Check local Stony Creek weather.
